About Me

Hello, my name is Amita Lam.
I am a Vietnamese–Khmer American massage therapist. Returning to my ancestral land has been a long-held calling of the heart. I feel deeply honored to be here, offering bodywork as a space for breathing, release, and reconnection.
I completed 621 hours of therapeutic massage training (2024–2025) at the Downeast School of Massage in Maine, USA, and 26 hours of Chi Nei Tsang (2025) at Blue Garden Yoga and Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

My Philosphy

My practice is rooted in Mettā (loving-kindness) and Sevā (selfless service).
Massage, to me, is not just a technique but a form of care; a way to listen to the body with presence and respect.
Every person carries their own stories, patterns, and emotions. Through mindful touch, I aim to create space for you to breathe, soften, and reconnect.
Healing happens when the body feels safe.
When we slow down, the nervous system unwinds, the mind clears, and the body begins to restore its natural balance.
I see myself as an ally for you and your body; supporting your process with compassion, curiosity, and trust.
Each session is intuitive and responsive, blending therapeutic work with relaxation and grounded awareness.
My hope is that you leave feeling more connected, centered, and at ease in yourself.

My work weaves together techniques that support both the structure and the subtle body.Each session is a balance of anatomy and intuition — designed to meet you where you are and guide your body toward alignment, ease, and presence.Rather than following a set routine, I respond to what your body communicates in the moment. FAQ

What can I expect from a session?Each session begins with a short consultation to understand what’s present for you — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
You’ll remain draped at all times for comfort and modesty. I use a blend of myofascial, structural integration, deep tissue, and Swedish techniques based on what your body needs that day.
Sessions are guided by presence and collaboration — not a set routine.
Is this suitable for muscle pain or injury recovery?Yes. My approach can support muscle tension, aches, postural discomfort, and limited range of motion.
I work with therapeutic precision to ease restrictions, improve alignment, and restore fluidity in the body.
While I don’t diagnose or replace medical treatment, my sessions can complement your physical therapy, recovery, or ongoing wellness plan by improving circulation and reducing chronic tension.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?It helps to arrive a few minutes early, hydrated, and with time to settle.
Wear or bring comfortable clothing and avoid heavy meals right before your session.
Most importantly, come as you are. Your only job is to breathe and receive.
How often should I get bodywork?This depends on your goals and how your body responds.
Some clients come weekly or biweekly when addressing chronic tension or stress, while others come monthly for maintenance and balance.
We’ll find a rhythm that feels supportive for your body and lifestyle.
Is this work suitable for emotional release?Yes. Because the body stores emotion in its tissues, gentle or deep work can sometimes bring sensations, memories, or feelings to the surface.
All of you is welcome here — emotion, stillness, silence, or laughter.
I hold space for whatever arises, always at your pace.
Can I request specific focus areas?Absolutely. Each session is customized for you.
Whether it’s your neck and shoulders, low back, or general stress relief — you’re welcome to share what’s calling for attention before we begin.
What’s your cancellation policy?I kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, as that time has been reserved specifically for you.
What do I wear during a session?You may undress to your comfort level — most clients choose to be undressed but draped securely throughout the session.
If you prefer to remain clothed, please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for movement and breath.
What does “sliding scale” mean?A sliding scale allows clients to pay within a flexible range based on their financial capacity.
It’s a way to make bodywork more accessible while honoring the energy exchange between client and practitioner.
You’re invited to choose the rate that feels both sustainable for you and respectful of my time and training — no questions asked.
This practice is rooted in Metta (loving-kindness) and Seva (service), affirming that care should be available to all bodies.
